EV charging and smart home, sized to last.

The two services we are most known for, and the two services we see redone most often by other contractors. We do them as one project: load, panel, conduit, control. The way they should have been done the first time.

EV charging

Most EV charger quotes start with a panel upgrade because the installer skipped the load calculation. We start with the load calc. Often it tells us the existing panel is fine for one charger, sometimes for two with smart load management. The math changes the quote, sometimes by thousands.

  • Load calculation before any quote
  • Tesla, ChargePoint, FLO, JuiceBox: certified installer
  • Smart load management for multi-EV homes
  • Cold-weather rated for outdoor mounting
  • Toronto Hydro smart-meter coordination

Smart home

Smart-home installs done by AV companies tend to leave electrical edge cases unsolved. Smart-home installs done by electricians who do not understand control protocols leave the experience unsolved. We do both. Lutron Caseta and RA3, networked rooms, and scenes designed around how the house is lived in.

  • Lutron Caseta Pro and RA3 design + commissioning
  • Motorized shading integrated with lighting
  • Structured wiring and high-density networking
  • Voice assistant and Apple Home integration
  • Scenes designed around how the room is used

EV charger lineup

Four chargers we install most often.

We are certified on more than these four, but ninety percent of home installs land on one of them. Pricing ranges depend on distance from the panel, conduit run, and whether the panel needs work.

Smart home capabilities

What smart home means in this house.

Lighting

Lutron Caseta Pro for retrofits, Lutron RA3 for whole-home. Keypads instead of dimmer banks. Scenes that match how the room is actually used.

Shading

Motorized roller and Roman shades, hard-wired or battery, integrated with lighting scenes and time-of-day schedules.

Climate

Ecobee, Honeywell, Lutron Palladiom thermostats. Zoned where the HVAC supports it, scheduled where it does not.

Audio + AV

Pre-wire for in-ceiling speakers, hidden subs, and discrete in-wall AV. Sonos, Sonance, integrated with Lutron scenes.

Networking

Structured wiring, Cat6 / Cat6A, networked outlets, and high-density Wi-Fi where the load justifies it. We pull the cables right the first time.

Voice + control

Apple Home, Google Home, Alexa. Native Lutron app for the things that should just work without asking.

Why combined matters

One conduit, one panel, one team.

When the EV charger, the smart-home pre-wire, and the panel upgrade are all designed together by the same crew, you get fewer drywall patches, one inspection visit, and a panel that labels the EV circuit as “Tesla” instead of “Garage 4.” That is the difference.
